Youth group

Christmas!

This evening in youth group we played with Chris's computer for a while, until Lobo Kwok (who was one of our helpers at the retreat) came in and talked about his missions trip to Macao. It was fascinating to hear about the people they talked with, the number of packets of tracts and Bibles they handed out, and the questions they answered. Then the kids and I talked briefly about Lamb's Lunch (Dec. 22) and the play (Dec. 21). "Hey," I kept saying, "are you fully aware that the performance is two weeks from today ... you have one more Friday to practice!" Sam said, "No, Miss Elsi, I don't think that's real to us yet!" Yeah, me either. But I'm not fully aware that there's only two-and-a-half weeks till Christmas, either! Christmas letters to mail ... packages to Canada to mail ... packages in this country to mail ... gotta get a move on! And keep pausing to remember Whose birthday I'm celebrating!
