It was an ancient Mrs. Dodge, and she teacheth students three. "By thy short gray hair and glittering eye, Wwhy-for thou teachest us three?" She taught them British literature: "There is a poem!" cried she. "Two men, a bird, and slimy things—To act this, you'll agree!" The ship was sailing to the South; their lips and hearts were parched; An arrow struck the albatross. The stanzas onward marched. Alliteration everywhere, with assonance and rhymes ... Vocabulary everywhere ... half-hearted pantomimes ... The story onward climbs. Death and his mate were rolling dice, and not a student yawned. The sailors died. The pilot died. The mariner went on. He prayeth best who loveth best the God Who made us all. He learneth best who gets involved at school, not the mall! He readeth best who acteth best. Don't you agree, y'all?
