Book signing Well, the phone rang this morning, and it was the manager of Denver's Mardel Christian store. She wanted to let me know that I'm doing a book signing at her store, this Saturday!
O-kay! I can do this! All I have to do is rearrange my Saturday, canceling the breakfast, working around the church service later in the day. But I can ... and will ... do this!
They aren't comfortable with the Chicken Soup for the Soul Christmas book I'm in, but I'll carry Cup of Comfort Book of Prayer, which came out this fall, as well as my older titles: Cup of Comfort Devotional for Women, His Forever, and RV Tourist: Tips, Tools, and Stories.
Not sure how I'll decorate the table ... need to put together a poster ... have to come up with an autograph line for the new book. (I learned from Joe Wheeler, of Christmas in Your Heart fame, to sign each book with the same line; at five books I'm now signing, I'm beginning to have trouble keeping my lines, and page numbers, straight!)
This is how I know the Lord is reaching people through my writing—when they buy books I'm in, and tell me about their lives. I'm honored, and touched, and excited!
