for all dogs Dear Canine friends across the continent,
As the senior member of the team, I want to alert you to the trials of the forthcoming couple of days. There are several things you need to know in order to fulfill your duties in a proper manner.
1. There will be many loud booming noises throughout the next 50 hours or so.
2. These noises are not dangerous to us four-leggers in any way. They are merely sounds.
3. The noises are, however, extremely dangerous to our two-legged pets.
4. The noises are, in addition, quite easily frightened. Therefore, barking makes them go away.
5. The noises are also quite stupid, so they keep coming back after they've been chased away.
This means we're in for lessened sleep over the next two to three days, as we valiantly bark away the dangerous noises. It is worth all the trouble, of course, to keep our pathetically fragile two-leggers safe!
I fear I must warn you that the two-leggers seem to be unaware of the danger of these noises. Therefore, they aren't grateful for our efforts in their behalf. Nonetheless, STRIVE ON! Do NOT under any circumstances stop your efforts to bark the danger away! It is worth being scolded to protect our people!
yours on behalf of dogdom,
Sallie
