Emus—ah-wooooof!!! Sallie posting: Oh, my! Elsi came back to the RV this evening and said she'd fed emus! Dolphin and I mostly ignored this; she ought to be feeding us, if she's going to feed anything. She was quite excited and said one bit her. Dolphin said he'd take care of that; he'd make sure they learned table manners. But Elsi wouldn't let him go see the emus.
But just now, when we were a-walking, we went to the end of the campground (Fort Steele Resort and RV Park) where the emus are. We didn't take anything to eat (she bought a cone of emu bites before). We just went to look. She told me emus eat beagles. I don't know about that ... but they sure are big! I wanted to go under the fence to play with them, but Elsi wouldn't let me. I wanted them to come over so we could sniff each other, but they weren't interested. Finally I started barking to them, and Elsi made me leave. But it sure was exciting! Emus ... we could keep one in the backyard ...
