Hero from Dolphin: Well, that was quite a night! We'd all gone to bed, because Mama wanted to be up and on the road early. Sometime in the middle of the night she heard thunder and got up to turn off and unplug the computer. The lightning was striking closer and closer to us, and Lady was shivering and quivering. Mama and Lady were cowering under the covers (well, Mama claims she was asleep). This is the sort of situation that requires a man to take charge. So I leapt on the bed, landing squarely on top of Mama, and stood guard there. I'm sure she felt safer with me taking care of her; sometimes I even paced up and down her so she knew all was well. Later in the night, when the power went out because of the lightning, she had to get up and deal with circuit breakers and suchlike. But I'm the one who kept the weak females safe during the worst of the storm!
