pant … pant … from Lady: I don't know what's wrong with my mama. After all, if she can make the RV cool sometimes (when we're in a campground, say), she ought to be able to make coolness the rest of the time! And she does make the very front of the RV cooler when we're driving. But when I ask her to make the outside cooler, or less rainy (not that it's raining now, but it's the principle of the thing), she won't do it! She bubbles on about the hickory trees here in Arkansas, and the "beautiful, lush greenness"—well, it would be a lot more beautiful if it were less hot and humid!Oh, well, I shall just lie here on the floor, with my tongue hanging out, and wait for better weather ... too hot to find beagle-patters anyway ... yawn ...
